Studying miracles has brought our congregation to new spiritual heights in only two months. I wonder what the rest of the year will bring.
As the children in our congregation continue to grow, they have begun to help read the children’s story. Leah quizzed them on what they had read and their comprehension is as good as their reading. We will be having some more baptisms soon.
Continuing with our theme of miracles, Bill talked this Sunday about finding miracles in tragedy. Nancy shared the miracle of all the bones in Clark’s face being in place after his fall so he didn’t need to have surgery in his condition and his passing then in peace. Bill shared four miracles he has experienced with his brain tumor which has now shrunk to half its original size. Miracles are God saying He loves us and they can be big or small miracles but we should never pass them off as coincidence he explained. Grant then shared a miracle with which we could all identify. He told of losing a special fishing lure when casting his line. After looking for over an hour, he was packing to leave when he offered a silent prayer and looking up there was his lure hanging in a tree.
We closed the service by singing “My Peace” and a spirit of peace was felt by all.
