October 21st is Children’s Sabbath. The congregation took time to listen to the children identify their needs. Besides food, clothing and shelter, the children said they need play time, training, and peace. Isn’t it interesting that adults need the same things?
The rest of the service was full of testimonies. Betty shared how God helped her offer a much-needed prayer for a friend in the middle of a restaurant. Suzy shared how God is working through our culture and court system allowing her hold a great-grandchild who had been given up for adoption. Nancy shared how God helped her to find an acceptable way to meet her students’ needs to get hugs. Grant shared how he was able to support his students in a time of loss. Bill shared how God has given him an exciting opportunity in the face of a business setback. Mary Ellen shared how God placed a non-Christian stranger in need of hearing about the Christian doctrine of forgiveness in her path.
